Today we welcomed 6 new Canadians. Welcome to the Al Salloum family from Syria. They are tired from a few days of travel but excited to start exploring their new home after some much needed sleep. Thank-you to all our supporters and volunteers for making this chance at a new life for this family possible.
Once again we are blown away by the generosity of our Kingston community. This urgent need was met quickly after putting out this appeal. Many of you stepped forward to offer temporary accommodation. Thank You so much!
Dear friends and supporters, we have an urgent need for temporary housing.
Our next family of Syrian Refugees are being flown to Canada from Beirut on December 21st. This was much sooner than we expected.
We are in desperate need of temporary accommodation from now until Feb 1st, when the housing we have secured for them will be available.
This family consist of a husband and wife, with 4 children ages 1 to 9.
